Kaitlyn is a certified NCCP Level 2 Pickleball Instructor with Pickleball Canada and Level 1 Tennis
Instructor with Tennis Canada. She has four years of coaching experience and has helped over 100
players on their pathway to growing and improving their pickleball skills. Kaitlyn coaches players of all skill
levels. Regardless of whether she is introducing pickleball to new enthusiasts or teaching advanced
techniques to competitive players, she has a passion for helping others reach their personal growth goals.
Her love and enthusiasm for the game are reflected in her fun and flexible coaching style and sessions.
She helps each player reach their potential by combining technical demonstrations, strategic gameplay
situations and tailored drills to build technique through repetition and realistic scenarios.
Kaitlyn has competed and won first place in Canadian pickleball tournaments; she is dedicated to
improving her skills and techniques to further her coaching abilities. When not coaching or competing,
Kaitlyn enjoys spending time in the pickleball community, playing in pickleball leagues, drop-ins and
friendly competitions.
Ming Lee is an experienced pickleball coach with over 20 years in racquet sports. He holds an Instructor
II Certification from Pickleball Coach Education. Ming offers pickleball lessons in both group and private
settings, catering to players of all ages and skill levels. He focuses on skill development and game
strategy. Ming also has experience in organizing and leading adult camps and engaging participants in
various drill activities.
Ameet is a certified NCCP Level 1 Pickleball Instructor with Pickleball Canada. As a certified coach he
has a passion for helping players unlock their full potential on the court. Ameet focuses on fundamentals,
skill development and building strategy awareness while creating a fun and safe environment. His
adaptive coaching style includes live demonstrations, practice with instruction and game play scenarios
allowing the player to build confidence when on the court.
In addition to coaching, Ameet is a passionate competitor, regularly playing pickleball in competitive
leagues and various venues across the city and internationally. Ameet continues to focus on improving
his pickleball game by using local and online resources, drilling sessions and competitive games.
He also has years of experience with coaching and instruction across a wide variety of sports including
softball and ultimate frisbee for all ages and has competed at the provincial level.
When not competing Ameet spends time with friends including those he met from the pickleball
community or setting up a pickleball net and introducing the game to friends.
Jack Buenaventura's journey with pickleball began just over two years ago, quickly evolving from a casual
hobby into a full-blown passion that transformed his lifestyle. Now a key figure in the sport, Jack is the
Founder of 1UP Pickleball Club,
Program Partner with Battle Arena and Director of Pickleball with NIKE Sportscamps Canada, dedicated
to growing the game at all levels.
Jack actively competes in tournaments across the city, earning multiple medals in various divisions during
his first year on the competitive circuit. His relentless drive and enthusiasm for the sport continue to
propel him forward, as he aims to elevate pickleball’s presence in the Greater Toronto Area.
Beyond playing, Jack is committed to developing players and expanding the sport’s reach. As the Director
of Pickleball for NIKE Sports Camp Canda and Program Partner at Battle Arena Jack is shaping
programs that cater to players of all skill levels. In April, Jack earned his Certified Coaching Certificate,
with Coaching Association of Canada further solidifying his role as a leader in the pickleball community.
Jack’s vision for Pickleball Arena and the 1UP Pickleball Club is to establish it as the premier club for
training, development, coaching, recreational and competitive play —a welcoming space where players of
all backgrounds can enjoy the game and grow their skills. With his unwavering passion and commitment,
Jack is helping to shape the future of pickleball in the region.
Mark has been a coach for over 15 years! Basketball, Volleyball, and now Pickleball.
Started playing pickleball 2 years ago and just fell in love with everything pickleball. He currently plays in
4.0+ level tournaments earning various medals.
2024 got the level 1 NCCP certification as a pickleball coach.
As a certified Level 2 coach, John has mentored beginners and elevated the game of intermediate
players. With a solid 4.0+ recreational player ranking, he’s coached players at different levels to become
tournament champions.
Having a Continuous Improvement background, John looks to address the root causes of opportunities in
your game and helps highlight your strengths.
Leading FUN training sessions, John promotes skill development and strategic play, while ensuring every
hit is made with intent and everyone is enjoying their pickleball experience.
Joshua Williams brings over a decade of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for basketball to his
role as Camp Director. As the owner of Time 2 Hoop Basketball Academy and Time 2 Hoop Sports,
Joshua has dedicated his career to developing young athletes both on and off the court. He currently
serves as the Head Coach of the Fleming Phoenix Men's Varsity Basketball Team, where he
continues to inspire excellence and teamwork.
A former collegiate basketball player for the Fleming Knights—now known as the Fleming
Phoenix—Joshua combines firsthand playing experience with years of coaching expertise. His deep
knowledge of the game, strong leadership, and commitment to mentorship make him a standout role
model for campers. Under his guidance, athletes not only improve their skills but also build confidence,
discipline, and a true love for the game.
Bewley brings a wealth of basketball experience in coaching, player development and as a former player.
Most recently, Bewley served as a Development Coach with Basketball Canada's Senior Men's National
Team. He has also been a head trainer and coach at a number of youth basketball academies and clubs
while also serving as an assistant coach with both the Humber Hawks (2017-2020) and York Lions (2012-
13) men's basketball programs.
As a player, Bewley was a member of the Humber Hawks CCAA National Championship team in 2015
and also played with the York Lions in the CIS (now U Sports). While being a student-athlete he earned a
BA in Philosophy from York University and a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion at Humber College.
Following his collegiate career, he went on to play professional basketball in Australia, China, El Salvador
and Spain.
I grew up in London, Ontario born into an athletic family where my dad played semi-professional soccer
for Trinidad and Tobago and my mother a star high school track star and two older sisters who were all-
star athletes the pressure was on. I played basketball, volleyball and track & field all through high school,
collecting MVPs and breaking records in each sport, but my favourite was basketball – I enjoyed the team
atmosphere and the constant action on the court. Through playing OBA basketball with the London
Steelers I was able to secure a basketball scholarship to Ohio State University. My NCAA basketball
career was short lived with a broken ankle injury, but I continued to be a team member courtside and
graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a minor degree in accounting.
I am now a basketball coach, referee and organize opportunities for girls to become involved in playing
basketball. Just trying to give back and provide the same opportunities that I received.

Jamal Reynolds comes with over 20 years of basketball experience in both playing and coaching. As a
player, Jamal Played for the Canadian Junior National Team, earn a NCAA Division one Scholarship and
played professionally for 7 years all across the world.
As a coach, Jamal has over 10 years of experience in camp coordination and over 5 years of experience
in coaching. Jamal is excited to use his knowledge to give back to the new generation of upcoming
athletes .
Coach Ron is currently the Technical Director FC Durham Academy and is also involved in Soccer
Development with the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club. Ron first began by coaching at the Detroit Rockets
Camp at the age of 21. He has a National A coaching license and a Professional Football Scouts
certification and has additional coaching experience with the following League 1 Ontario Teams:

- 2016: named assistant coach to League 1O All Star Team

EDUCATION
Coach Ron decided to pursue his post-secondary education at the University of Windsor and earned a
BA degree in Social SC.
PLAYING CAREER
While Ron was attending the University of Windsor, he was an active member of their Soccer Team. He
also has playing experience with the Quebec Provincial Team and the Detroit Rockets NSL.
FUN FACTS
One of Ron's most memorable moments as a coach was when he led his Michigan Gators U15 girls team
to win the Michigan State Cup Championship.
When Coach Ron is not at the field, he enjoys spending most of his free time playing with his twin sons
Ashton and Braylen.
“I have an attack-minded approach to the game of soccer. I can’t however translate my ideas onto the
pitch if I don’t have strong communication with my players. This strong communication with my players is
in the processes that form the tactical structures of the teams I coach. Without this type of
communication, it is impossible for me and the staff to be transformational in our coaching methodology. I
enjoy coaching players who are looking to improve any facet in the beautiful game,I love to be there for
them and share ideas. Soccer is the most subjective sport in the world, and due to this I encourage
feedback with players after every session as it helps me understand their points of view both in the
positive and constructive elements of the game. I am, and forever will be in love with this game, and I
hope that my love and enthusiasm for this game rubs off on the players. I’m there to serve the players
while they do their bit in a collective process of playing this game beautifully whilst highlighting their own
special and individual talents.”

Tony worked as the Head Coach of Fleming College Men’s Varsity Outdoor Soccer until 2023, bringing a
wealth of knowledge and experience. He has also been the Head Coach of the Women’s Varsity Outdoor
Soccer team as well as the Head Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Soccer teams during his
tenure at Fleming.Coach Tony is not someone who is unfamiliar with success. In 2009, Tony was named
Ontario College Athletic Association East Division Coach of the Year and the Ontario nominee for the
Canadian College Athletic Association coach of the year. He helped lead the 2010 Fleming indoor soccer
team to a silver medal, the women’s indoor team to the east regional championships for four years and
the 2009 women’s outdoor soccer team to the division championship.As a player, he was a member of
the three-time OCAA Eastern Ontario All-Star team at Durham College, and he was the MVP Player of an
OCAA gold medal winning team at Durham College. He also captained Durham College teams that won a
gold and two bronze medals. He was also a member of the Ontario Provincial soccer team.
